Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput commonly ranges from 40 to 120 cartons per minute, depending on carton size and product characteristics.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz.

Carton size range

Cartoning lines are generally configurable to handle a variety of carton dimensions; buyers should confirm the specific range for this unit.

Closure method

Hot glue closure systems, such as the Meler Micron, are commonly used for secure and efficient carton sealing.

Integrated systems

Lines like this often include ancillary equipment such as volumetric fillers and metal detector/checkweighers for a complete packaging solution.

Operator interface

Modern cartoning lines typically feature touch screen HMI for intuitive operation and parameter adjustment.

• What kind of products can this cartoning line handle?

This type of cartoning line is suitable for a wide range of products, particularly free-flowing granular or powdered goods when paired with a volumetric filler. It can also handle various solid items depending on the infeed system.

• Is this unit suitable for different carton sizes?

• What maintenance is typically required for a cartoning line?

• What are the common safety features on such equipment?

• Can this line be integrated into an existing production facility?

Cartoning equipment holds strong reputation for reliability in pharmaceutical and food processing sectors. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent case erection, product loading and sealing with minimal downtime. When purchasing used units, inspectors should assess wear on servo motors, gripper mechanisms and seal tooling, as these components incur significant usage. Industry sentiment favours models demonstrating straightforward maintenance access and parts availability. Durable construction and precise automation remain key strengths. Operational history and maintenance records prove essential evaluation criteria for secondhand purchases.
