CM Process Solutions - Dump Buggy Tumbler

• Used in meat processing for marinating and tenderising various cuts of meat.
• Applied in poultry processing for flavour infusion and improving product texture.
• Utilised in seafood preparation for gentle mixing and curing.
• Suitable for mixing and coating vegetables or other food products in large batches.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, capacities commonly range from 200 kg to 1,000 kg, depending on the specific model and drum size.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, with varying power consumption based on motor size.

Construction material

Commonly constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and durability in food processing environments.

Control system

Typically features a user-friendly control panel, often with programmable cycles for vacuum, tumbling speed, and duration.

Vacuum system

Many units include an integrated vacuum pump to enhance marinade penetration and product tenderisation.

Loading mechanism

Often designed for compatibility with standard dump buggies or eurobins for efficient product loading and unloading.

• What is the primary function of a dump buggy tumbler?

A dump buggy tumbler is primarily used to marinate, tenderise, and mix food products, particularly meats, poultry, and seafood, under vacuum conditions to improve flavour and texture.

• What are the benefits of vacuum tumbling?

• Is this type of equipment suitable for delicate products?

• What maintenance is typically required for a used unit?

• How does a dump buggy tumbler integrate into a production line?

Meat and poultry tumblers and massagers are valued for their consistent ability to enhance product texture and marinade absorption across commercial production. Buyers typically report reliable performance when used regularly, though condition of internal drums and seals warrants careful inspection on used units. Key strengths include labour savings and uniform results compared to manual methods. When purchasing secondhand, check motor function, drum integrity, and whether all safety guards remain intact. Stainless steel models tend to hold up better in demanding environments.
