Fans and Blowers 30-2 QPB Centrifugal fan

• Used for general ventilation and air movement within food processing facilities.
• Suitable for extracting fumes, steam, or dust in specific processing areas.
• Can be integrated into drying or cooling systems for certain food products.
• Often employed in pneumatic conveying systems for light food ingredients or waste.

Typical airflow capacity

For this class of centrifugal fan with a 7.5kW motor, airflow can typically range from 3,000 to 15,000 m³/hr, depending on static pressure requirements.

Typical static pressure

Units of this type commonly generate static pressures between 500 and 2,000 Pa, suitable for ducted systems.

Power supply

This unit requires a 7.5kW, 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz in the UK.

Drive type

Features a direct drive mechanism, which generally offers higher efficiency and lower maintenance compared to belt-driven systems.

Inlet/outlet configuration

Equipped with a flanged inlet; outlet configuration would typically be square or rectangular, also flanged for duct connection.

Construction materials

Commonly constructed from mild steel or, for food contact or corrosive environments, stainless steel.

• What is the significance of 'fan size 302'?

Fan size '302' typically refers to the impeller diameter in millimetres (302mm) or a specific model series designation from the manufacturer, indicating its overall dimensions and performance characteristics.

• Is this fan suitable for high-temperature applications?

• What maintenance is typically required for a direct-drive centrifugal fan?

• Can this fan be used outdoors?

• What does 'QPB' in the model name signify?

HVAC drives and controllers are valued for reliable temperature and humidity regulation in controlled laboratory environments. Buyers typically prioritise units with precise calibration history and minimal downtime records. When purchasing used equipment, inspecting control boards, sensor functionality and documentation of maintenance schedules proves essential. These systems gain strong reputation for durability when properly serviced, though older models may lack advanced digital interfaces. Compatibility with existing facility infrastructure remains a common purchasing consideration.
