LABCOLD RLDF1510 Climatic Class 4 Refrigerator - IMA C21

• Producing individual tea bags for retail and food service.
• Packaging herbal infusions and other dry, particulate products in heat-sealable filter material.
• Forming, filling, and sealing small pouches with a string and tag attachment.
• High-volume production environments requiring automated bagging solutions.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, output commonly ranges from 100 to 250 tea bags per minute, depending on bag size and product characteristics.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a three-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, with appropriate amperage.

Bag dimensions

Form-fill-seal machines like the C21 are often configurable for various bag sizes; common dimensions for tea bags are between 40mm x 50mm and 60mm x 70mm.

Materials processed

Designed for use with heat-sealable filter paper or non-woven materials suitable for tea and similar dry goods.

Footprint

While specific dimensions vary, these machines typically require a significant operational footprint, often several metres in length, plus space for material handling.

Automation level

These are generally fully automatic machines, handling unwinding of filter material, dosing, sealing, string and tag application, and cutting.

• What is a 'Form-Fill-Seal' machine?

A Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) machine is an automated packaging system that constructs a bag or pouch from a roll of film, fills it with product, and then seals it, all in one continuous process.

• What does 'String, Tag & Heat Seal Envelope' mean?

• Can this machine handle different products?

• What is the typical lifespan of a used FFS machine?

• Are spare parts readily available for older models like the C21?

Form-fill-seal machines hold strong reputations in food packaging for reliability and consistent output. Buyers typically prioritise machines with clear maintenance histories and verified production specifications. Key strengths include versatility across film types and product formats, alongside relatively straightforward operation. When purchasing used units, inspectors should examine seal quality consistency, film tracking accuracy, and the condition of heating elements. Machines from established manufacturers generally command buyer confidence. Downtime for repairs is a common concern, so availability of spare parts and technical support merits careful consideration before acquisition.
