Kliklok CCI Carton Erector/Closer Automatic

• Packaging of bakery products such as cakes, pastries, and pies.
• Erecting and closing cartons for frozen foods like ready meals and desserts.
• Forming and sealing cartons for confectionery items and snack foods.
• Automated packaging of non-food items such as small hardware or pharmaceutical products.

Typical capacity

For this class of intermittent carton erector/closer, capacities typically range from 20 to 60 cartons per minute, depending on carton size and complexity.

Power supply

Commonly, units of this type require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with a compressed air supply for pneumatic components.

Carton size range

Units are generally designed to handle a range of carton sizes, with specific dimensions dependent on the tooling installed. Buyers should verify the current tooling specifications with the seller.

Adhesive system

This unit features a Nordson spray glue system, which is a common and reliable method for carton sealing, offering precise adhesive application.

Construction material

The stainless steel construction is standard for food processing environments, ensuring hygiene and resistance to corrosion.

Footprint

As a 'Compact Cartoner Intermittent' (CCI), these machines are designed to have a relatively small footprint for automated carton erecting and closing, typically requiring a floor area of 2-4 square metres.

• What type of cartons can this machine handle?

This type of machine is typically designed for erecting and closing pre-cut, flat-pack cartons, often using a hot-melt adhesive system for sealing. The specific carton styles and sizes will depend on the machine's current tooling.

• Is this machine suitable for washdown environments?

• What maintenance is typically required for a carton erector/closer?

• Can the machine be re-tooled for different carton sizes?

• What is meant by 'intermittent' operation?

Cartoning equipment holds strong reputation for reliability in pharmaceutical and food processing sectors. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent case erection, product loading and sealing with minimal downtime. When purchasing used units, inspectors should assess wear on servo motors, gripper mechanisms and seal tooling, as these components incur significant usage. Industry sentiment favours models demonstrating straightforward maintenance access and parts availability. Durable construction and precise automation remain key strengths. Operational history and maintenance records prove essential evaluation criteria for secondhand purchases.
