Koppens 900mm Preduster

• Applying a base layer of flour or spice mix to products before further processing like battering or breading.
• Preparing poultry, meat, fish, or vegetable portions for frying or baking.
• Creating a consistent coating for products to improve adhesion of subsequent layers.
• Used in the production of various coated food items such as chicken nuggets, schnitzels, and onion rings.

Belt width

900mm, as specified for this unit, which is a common width for medium to high-volume production lines.

Construction material

Typically full stainless steel, as stated, suitable for food contact and washdown environments.

Power supply

Commonly 3-phase electrical supply, for this class of industrial equipment, typically 400V, 50Hz in the UK.

Throughput

Variable, depending on product size and belt speed, but units of this width are capable of continuous processing for industrial applications.

Dusting material compatibility

Designed for dry powders such as flour, starches, and fine breadcrumbs.

Footprint

For a 900mm belt unit, the overall length can range from 1.5m to 2.5m, with a width slightly exceeding the belt width.

• What maintenance is typically required for a preduster?

Routine cleaning is essential to prevent build-up and ensure hygiene. Inspection of the belt, motors, and dusting material circulation system should be performed regularly.

• Can this preduster handle different types of coating materials?

• Is this unit suitable for integration into an existing processing line?

• What are the common wear parts on a preduster?

• How is the coating thickness controlled?

Meat coating equipment holds a solid reputation for improving product consistency and presentation in poultry and meat processing operations. Buyers typically prioritize even coating application, ease of cleaning, and durability of contact surfaces when selecting used units. Key strengths include reduced product waste, faster processing speeds, and minimal operator intervention required. Potential purchasers should examine coating drums or belts for wear, verify spray nozzle functionality, and confirm electrical and mechanical components operate smoothly. Well-maintained machines generally deliver reliable performance in demanding production environments.
