Koppens BRF 200 Crumb Auger Feeder

• Feeding breadcrumbs and similar dry coating materials into industrial breading machines.
• Integrating into automated processing lines for meat, poultry, fish, or vegetable products.
• Ensuring consistent and controlled delivery of coating media to maintain product quality.
• Used in facilities requiring high-volume coating operations.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can vary significantly based on material density and auger speed, typically ranging from hundreds of kilograms to several tonnes per hour.

Power supply

Commonly found on units of this type, a 3-phase industrial electrical supply is required, typically 400V, 50Hz.

Construction material

Units are typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel for hygiene and durability.

Footprint

The footprint for a crumb auger feeder of this model class is generally compact, designed for integration into existing lines, often requiring less than 1.5m x 1.5m of floor space.

Hopper volume

Typically, the integrated hopper volume can range from 100 to 300 litres, depending on the specific configuration.

Maintenance requirements

Regular cleaning and inspection of the auger and motor are typically required to ensure optimal performance and hygiene standards.

• What types of coating materials can this auger feeder handle?

This type of auger feeder is primarily designed for dry, granular materials such as breadcrumbs, flour, and similar coating agents. It is not typically suitable for wet or sticky products.

• How does this unit integrate with a breading machine?

• Are spare parts readily available for Koppens equipment?

• What are the typical benefits of using an auger feeder for breadcrumbs?

• Can the feed rate be adjusted?

Meat coating equipment holds a solid reputation for improving product consistency and presentation in poultry and meat processing operations. Buyers typically prioritize even coating application, ease of cleaning, and durability of contact surfaces when selecting used units. Key strengths include reduced product waste, faster processing speeds, and minimal operator intervention required. Potential purchasers should examine coating drums or belts for wear, verify spray nozzle functionality, and confirm electrical and mechanical components operate smoothly. Well-maintained machines generally deliver reliable performance in demanding production environments.
