Koppens TD400 Tempura Batter Applicator

• Applying tempura batter to poultry, fish, and seafood products.
• Coating vegetables and other food items for deep-frying.
• Preparing products for further processing such as frying or freezing.
• Use in large-scale food production lines requiring consistent batter application.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput can vary significantly based on product size and line speed, but units commonly achieve several hundred kilograms per hour.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a 3-phase industrial power supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz in the UK.

Construction material

Equipment for food processing is generally constructed from food-grade stainless steel for hygiene and durability.

Belt width

The working belt width on TD400 models is typically around 400mm, suitable for medium-volume production.

Batter circulation system

Units commonly feature an integrated batter circulation and filtration system to maintain batter quality and consistency.

Footprint

The footprint for a batter applicator of this size typically requires a dedicated space within a processing line, often around 1.5m to 2m in length.

• What kind of batter can a Koppens TD400 apply?

The Koppens TD400 is specifically designed for tempura batter, which is typically a lighter, more viscous batter compared to standard breading.

• Is this unit suitable for other types of coatings?

• What maintenance is typically required for a batter applicator?

• Can this unit be integrated into an existing processing line?

• Are spare parts readily available for Koppens equipment?

Meat coating equipment holds a solid reputation for improving product consistency and presentation in poultry and meat processing operations. Buyers typically prioritize even coating application, ease of cleaning, and durability of contact surfaces when selecting used units. Key strengths include reduced product waste, faster processing speeds, and minimal operator intervention required. Potential purchasers should examine coating drums or belts for wear, verify spray nozzle functionality, and confirm electrical and mechanical components operate smoothly. Well-maintained machines generally deliver reliable performance in demanding production environments.
