KWIK LOK BAG CLOSERS

• Used for securing the opening of pre-made bags, commonly in bakeries and fresh produce packing.
• Applicable in food processing for packaging items like bread, rolls, fruits, and vegetables.
• Utilised in non-food sectors for closing bags containing small parts, components, or dry goods.

Typical capacity

Units in this class commonly operate at speeds ranging from 60 to 120 bags per minute, depending on the specific model and bag size.

Power supply

Most industrial bag closing machines typically require a standard three-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, with some smaller units potentially operating on single-phase.

Closure type

This type of machine typically applies a Kwik Lok closure, which is a plastic tag with a pre-cut slot.

Bag material suitability

Generally suitable for use with various flexible bag materials, including polyethylene, polypropylene, and laminated films.

Control interface

Modern units often feature an HMI (Human Machine Interface) for operational control and settings adjustment.

Footprint

For this class of equipment, the footprint can vary, but units are typically designed to integrate into existing packaging lines, requiring moderate floor space.

• What types of bags can a Kwik Lok machine close?

Kwik Lok machines are primarily designed to close pre-made bags, typically wicketed bags, made from various flexible film materials such as polyethylene or polypropylene.

• Are spare parts readily available for Kwik Lok machines?

• What maintenance is typically required for these machines?

• Can these machines be integrated into an automated packaging line?

• What are the benefits of using a Kwik Lok closure?

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
