Rallye - RA-070 Screw Compressor

• Providing compressed air for general workshop tools and pneumatic machinery.
• Supplying air for industrial processes such as packaging, spraying, and material handling.
• Used in manufacturing facilities for assembly lines and automation systems.
• Suitable for automotive workshops and tyre fitting centres requiring consistent air supply.

Typical capacity

For a 37kW screw compressor, typical free air delivery (FAD) ranges from approximately 5.5 to 7.0 m³/min (195 to 250 CFM) at standard operating pressures.

Power supply

Units of this power rating commonly require a 400V, 3-phase, 50Hz electrical supply, typical for industrial applications in the UK.

Operating pressure

Screw compressors in this class typically operate at pressures between 7 and 10 bar (100-145 psi), suitable for most industrial air tools and processes.

Footprint

The physical footprint for a 37kW screw compressor can vary, but typically requires a floor space of around 1.5m x 1.0m, plus clearance for maintenance.

Noise level

Modern screw compressors are designed for lower noise, with units of this type typically producing between 68 and 75 dB(A), often requiring placement in a dedicated compressor room.

Cooling method

Most industrial screw compressors are air-cooled, though larger or more intensive applications may feature water-cooled options.

• What maintenance is typically required for a used screw compressor?

Regular maintenance for screw compressors includes oil and filter changes, air filter replacement, and checking for leaks. Service intervals are typically based on operating hours or annually, whichever comes first.

• Can this compressor be used outdoors?

• What are the benefits of a screw compressor over a piston compressor?

• Does this unit come with an air receiver?

• What is the expected lifespan of a used screw compressor?

Used air compressors for lab and pharma applications are generally valued for reliability and cost savings. Buyers typically prioritize checking maintenance history, confirming pressure ratings meet specific requirements, and verifying oil-free operation where contamination control matters. Key strengths include durability when properly serviced, consistent performance across extended operational hours, and significant capital cost reduction compared to new units. Inspecting seals, checking for corrosion, and confirming recent servicing records are standard considerations when purchasing secondhand.
