H + P - Second Hand Batch Peeler

• Used in commercial kitchens and food processing plants for preparing root vegetables.
• Suitable for high-volume peeling of potatoes, carrots, and other firm vegetables.
• Often integrated into production lines for ready meals or snack manufacturing.
• Applicable in catering operations requiring consistent vegetable preparation.

Typical capacity

Batch peelers of this class commonly handle capacities ranging from 10kg to 100kg per cycle.

Peeling mechanism

Units typically employ an abrasive drum and spinning plate system for effective skin removal.

Power supply

Most industrial batch peelers require a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V.

Water requirement

A continuous water supply is typically needed for washing and waste removal during operation.

Construction material

For hygiene and durability, units are commonly constructed from stainless steel.

Footprint

The footprint for this class of equipment can vary, but typically requires dedicated floor space, with larger units needing more.

• What types of vegetables can this peeler process?

Batch peelers are primarily designed for root vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, parsnips, and other firm vegetables with a relatively consistent shape.

• How does an abrasive peeler work?

• What maintenance is typically required for a batch peeler?

• Can this machine be integrated into an existing processing line?

• What are the typical safety features on such equipment?

Washers and peelers are considered reliable workhorses in food processing facilities. Buyers typically value models offering consistent performance and easy cleaning. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors commonly assess drum condition, motor functionality, and wear on rotating components. Industry sentiment favours machines with stainless steel construction for durability and hygiene compliance. Straightforward mechanical design generally means lower maintenance costs compared to more complex processing equipment. Availability of replacement parts remains an important consideration for long-term operation.
