Stein 1000mm Preduster

• Applying a pre-dust layer to meat, poultry, or fish products before further processing like battering or breading.
• Ensuring consistent adhesion of subsequent coatings by creating a dry, tacky surface.
• Used in the production of convenience foods, ready meals, and processed meat products.
• Preparing products for frying, baking, or freezing by improving coating integrity.

Working width

For this unit, the working width is stated as 1000mm, which is a common size for medium to high-volume production lines.

Drive system

This unit features a hydraulic drive, typically offering robust and variable speed control, often preferred for heavy-duty, continuous operation.

Power supply

Hydraulic systems commonly require a three-phase electrical supply (e.g., 400V, 50Hz in the UK) for the power pack, with specific amperage depending on motor size.

Material of construction

Units of this type are typically constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and corrosion resistance, suitable for food processing environments.

Throughput

Throughput for a 1000mm preduster can vary significantly based on product type and line speed, but typically supports medium to high volume processing lines.

Footprint

A 1000mm preduster, including its hydraulic power pack, will require a significant linear space within a processing line, plus access for maintenance.

• What is the primary function of a preduster?

A preduster applies a fine layer of flour or seasoning to food products, creating a dry, tacky surface that helps subsequent coatings like batter or breading adhere more effectively.

Meat coating equipment holds a solid reputation for improving product consistency and presentation in poultry and meat processing operations. Buyers typically prioritize even coating application, ease of cleaning, and durability of contact surfaces when selecting used units. Key strengths include reduced product waste, faster processing speeds, and minimal operator intervention required. Potential purchasers should examine coating drums or belts for wear, verify spray nozzle functionality, and confirm electrical and mechanical components operate smoothly. Well-maintained machines generally deliver reliable performance in demanding production environments.
