Protech Food Systems - Used Protech Food Systems Rotary Table

• Used for accumulating products at the end of a processing line, allowing for manual packing or further automated handling.
• Ideal for buffering products between different stages of a production process, ensuring a continuous flow.
• Frequently employed for sorting or inspection tasks, providing operators with easy access to items.
• Suitable for feeding products into subsequent machinery at a controlled rate.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can vary significantly based on product size and line speed, but rotary tables are designed for continuous accumulation.

Power supply

Commonly found on units of this type, a standard industrial electrical supply, typically 400V, 3-phase, 50Hz, would be required.

Footprint

A 1000mm diameter table, as specified, requires a floor space slightly larger than its diameter to allow for operator access and integration into a line.

Construction material

Typically, food-grade stainless steel is used for contact parts and framework to meet hygiene standards in food processing environments.

Speed control

Many rotary tables offer variable speed control, allowing adjustment to match line requirements.

Maintenance requirements

Routine cleaning and periodic inspection of bearings and drive components are typically required for optimal performance and longevity.

• What kind of products can a rotary table handle?

Rotary tables are versatile and can handle a wide range of products, including bottles, jars, pouches, small packaged goods, and various loose items, provided they are stable on the table surface.

• Is this unit suitable for washdown environments?

• How is the product fed onto and off the table?

• What safety features should I look for?

• Can the direction of rotation be changed?

Rotary tables and indexing systems are valued in food processing for their reliability in automating product handling and storage workflows. Buyers typically prioritise stainless steel construction and corrosion resistance given food safety requirements. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should check bearing condition, indexing accuracy, and cleanliness of surfaces. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance and proven track records in high-volume production environments. Durability and precise positioning capabilities remain key strengths attracting continued buyer interest.
