ULMA TR 300 Shrink Tunnel

• Shrink-wrapping individual food products like baked goods, cheeses, or ready meals.
• Bundling multiple smaller items into a single retail-ready pack.
• Applying protective film to trays of fresh produce or meat.
• Enhancing product presentation and tamper evidence for packaged goods.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from 30 to over 100 packs per minute, depending on product size and film type.

Heat chamber length

This unit features a 1,735 mm heat chamber, which is substantial for consistent shrinking at speed.

Conveyor type

Commonly, silicone-roller conveyors are used for gentle product handling and variable speed control.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a 3-phase industrial power supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz.

Construction material

Stainless steel construction is standard for food processing equipment, ensuring hygiene and durability.

Airflow control

Dual airflow and multiple shrinking stations are common features for precise and even shrink results.

Maintenance access

Hinged top covers are a practical design feature for rapid access for cleaning and maintenance.

• What type of film can this shrink tunnel use?

Shrink tunnels of this design are typically compatible with various types of shrink film, including polyolefin (POF) and polyethylene (PE), depending on the specific heating parameters.

• Is this unit suitable for high-speed production lines?

• How is the shrink quality controlled?

• What are the typical maintenance requirements for a shrink tunnel?

• Can this shrink tunnel be integrated with existing packaging machinery?

Thermoforming equipment holds a solid reputation for reliability and cost effectiveness in food packaging operations. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent forming quality and minimal downtime. When purchasing used units, buyers should prioritise inspecting heating elements, mould condition, and hydraulic systems, as these components experience significant wear. Strengths include straightforward maintenance requirements, good availability of spare parts, and proven performance across various packaging applications. Industry sentiment favours models with proven track records and complete maintenance documentation.
