Little David By Loveshaw - Box Taper

• Sealing corrugated cardboard boxes in packaging lines.
• Automating the closure of cartons in dispatch areas.
• Streamlining end-of-line processes in manufacturing facilities.
• Securing packages for shipment in e-commerce operations.

Typical capacity

Units of this class typically handle 15-30 boxes per minute, depending on box size and operator efficiency.

Power supply

Commonly operates on a standard single-phase 230V, 50Hz electrical supply, though some industrial models may require three-phase.

Box dimensions (L x W x H)

Typically accommodates boxes with lengths ranging from 150mm to unlimited, widths from 120mm to 500mm, and heights from 120mm to 500mm. Buyers should verify specific unit capabilities.

Tape width

Designed for standard packaging tape widths, typically 48mm or 75mm.

Machine footprint

For this class of equipment, a typical footprint is approximately 1000mm (L) x 800mm (W) x 1300mm (H), excluding any infeed/outfeed conveyors.

Operation

Semi-automatic operation is common, where an operator folds the flaps and feeds the box, or fully automatic with integrated flap folders.

• What type of tape does a box taper use?

Box tapers typically use pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape, commonly polypropylene or PVC, in standard widths such as 48mm or 75mm.

• Can this machine handle different box sizes?

• What maintenance is required for a box taper?

• Is this unit suitable for a high-volume operation?

• What are the common safety features on a box taper?

Strapping equipment remains reliable for securing packaged goods across food processing operations. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent tension control, minimal downtime, and straightforward maintenance. When purchasing used units, inspectors should assess wear on strapping heads, motor function, and sensor calibration. Industry sentiment favours equipment with proven track records in high-volume environments. Key strengths include durability, energy efficiency, and compatibility with various film types. Proper mechanical condition and operational history are essential considerations for cost-effective procurement.
