Bradman Lake SL80

• Packaging of confectionery products into cartons.
• Cartoning of baked goods and pastries.
• Secondary packaging for pharmaceutical products.
• Enclosing cosmetic items in retail-ready cartons.
• Packing of small hardware or consumer goods.

Typical capacity

For semi-automatic end-load cartoners of this class, throughput typically ranges from 20 to 60 cartons per minute, depending on product and operator efficiency.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with a control voltage of 24V DC.

Construction material

As described, this unit is stainless steel, which is typical for food processing environments, ensuring hygiene and durability.

Carton style

This model is an end-load cartoner, designed for products inserted horizontally into the carton.

Machine orientation

The 'Right to left' flow indicates the direction products and cartons move through the machine, which is important for line integration.

Footprint

Semi-automatic cartoners typically have a compact footprint, often around 2 to 3 metres in length and 1 to 1.5 metres in width, excluding infeed/outfeed conveyors.

• What is an end-load cartoner?

An end-load cartoner inserts products into the carton from one of its open ends. This is common for products that can be pushed or slid into the carton horizontally.

• What kind of products can this machine pack?

• Is this machine suitable for washdown environments?

• Can this machine be integrated into an existing production line?

• What maintenance is typically required for a cartoner of this age?

Cartoning equipment holds strong reputation for reliability in pharmaceutical and food processing sectors. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent case erection, product loading and sealing with minimal downtime. When purchasing used units, inspectors should assess wear on servo motors, gripper mechanisms and seal tooling, as these components incur significant usage. Industry sentiment favours models demonstrating straightforward maintenance access and parts availability. Durable construction and precise automation remain key strengths. Operational history and maintenance records prove essential evaluation criteria for secondhand purchases.
