Carton sealer Case taper

• Sealing filled cartons and cases in food production lines.
• Automating the packaging process for various consumer goods.
• Securing boxes for onward shipping and logistics.
• Integrating into end-of-line packaging systems.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput commonly ranges from 10 to 30 cases per minute, depending on carton size and operator efficiency.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly operate on a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, as indicated for this unit.

Box size range

Carton sealers commonly accommodate a range of box dimensions; this unit specifies a maximum width of 450mm and height of 550mm.

Sealing method

Most carton sealers utilise adhesive tape for sealing, typically applying tape to both the top and bottom flaps, or just the top as indicated for this unit.

Mobility

Many units, including this one, are designed to be mobile, often featuring castors for easy repositioning within a facility.

Construction materials

Typically constructed from painted steel or stainless steel, depending on the intended operating environment and hygiene requirements.

• What type of tape does this equipment use?

Carton sealers commonly use standard packaging tape, typically 48mm or 75mm wide, on rolls with a common core diameter. Buyers should confirm the specific tape head configuration with the seller.

• Is this unit suitable for washdown environments?

• Can this machine handle random box sizes?

• What maintenance is typically required?

• What are 'side grip belts'?

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
