Cormarme GEM52 Case taper

• Sealing corrugated cardboard cases in food production lines.
• Automating the packaging process for various packaged goods.
• Use in end-of-line packaging for confectionery, baked goods, and prepared meals.
• Integration into existing conveyor systems for continuous operation.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput commonly ranges from 10 to 30 cases per minute, depending on case size and line speed.

Case dimensions (max)

Units of this type typically accommodate cases up to 500mm in length, 450mm in width, and 450mm in height. Buyers should confirm exact dimensions with the seller.

Power supply

A 3-phase electrical supply is commonly required for industrial case tapers, typically 400V, 50Hz, to power motors and controls.

Sealing method

This unit uses adhesive tape for top and bottom sealing, a standard method for reliable case closure.

Conveyor integration

Units commonly feature infeed and outfeed roller conveyors, facilitating seamless integration into automated packaging lines.

Footprint

The footprint for a case taper of this specification typically requires approximately 1.5m to 2.5m in length, including conveyors, and around 1m in width.

• What type of tape does this machine use?

Case tapers commonly use standard polypropylene or PVC adhesive tape, typically 50mm or 75mm wide, for sealing corrugated cases.

• Is this machine suitable for random case sizes?

• What maintenance is typically required?

• Can this unit be integrated into an existing production line?

• What are the benefits of side grip belts?

Strapping equipment remains reliable for securing packaged goods across food processing operations. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent tension control, minimal downtime, and straightforward maintenance. When purchasing used units, inspectors should assess wear on strapping heads, motor function, and sensor calibration. Industry sentiment favours equipment with proven track records in high-volume environments. Key strengths include durability, energy efficiency, and compatibility with various film types. Proper mechanical condition and operational history are essential considerations for cost-effective procurement.
