Fluidair RPK47 Air compressor

• Providing compressed air for pneumatic tools and machinery in general industrial settings.
• Supplying air for packaging lines and material handling systems.
• Operating control valves and actuators in process automation.
• Powering air knives for drying or cleaning applications.

Compressor Type

Rotary screw, commonly offering continuous duty and consistent airflow.

Working Pressure

Units of this class typically operate around 7-10 bar (100-145 PSI), suitable for most industrial applications.

Power Supply

This unit is 3-phase. Industrial compressors commonly require 400V, 50Hz 3-phase power in the UK.

Control System

The 'Rotastar control' suggests an integrated system for efficient operation and monitoring, commonly found on modern rotary screw compressors.

Air Treatment

For food processing applications, additional air treatment such as dryers and filters are typically required to meet specific air quality standards.

Footprint

Rotary screw compressors of this capacity typically have a compact footprint for their output, often designed for workshop or plant room installation.

• What maintenance is typically required for a rotary screw compressor?

Routine maintenance commonly includes oil changes, filter replacements (air, oil, and separator), and checking drive belts. The frequency depends on operating hours and environmental conditions.

• Is this compressor suitable for continuous operation?

• What is the significance of '100PSI working pressure' and '8Bar discharge pressure'?

• What additional equipment might be needed with this compressor?

• How does a 'Rotastar control' system benefit operation?

Used air compressors for lab and pharma applications are generally valued for reliability and cost savings. Buyers typically prioritize checking maintenance history, confirming pressure ratings meet specific requirements, and verifying oil-free operation where contamination control matters. Key strengths include durability when properly serviced, consistent performance across extended operational hours, and significant capital cost reduction compared to new units. Inspecting seals, checking for corrosion, and confirming recent servicing records are standard considerations when purchasing secondhand.
