Deighton - Formatic 360 Drum – triple round drum

• Producing consistently shaped meat patties for burgers or meatballs.
• Forming fish cakes or vegetable burgers for ready meals.
• Creating portion-controlled dough products for bakeries.
• Shaping specialist food items in catering and food service production.
• Manufacturing pet food products with uniform dimensions.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from 1,800 to 3,600 portions per hour, depending on product size and drum configuration.

Power supply

Commonly found on units of this type, a 3-phase electrical supply (e.g., 400V, 50Hz) is typically required, often with a power consumption in the range of 1.5 to 3 kW.

Product size range

Typically, these machines can produce items from 20g to 200g, with drum diameters dictating the maximum product width.

Forming drum material

Forming drums are commonly made from food-grade stainless steel or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for hygiene and durability.

Footprint

A typical footprint for a standalone unit of this type might be around 800mm (W) x 1200mm (D) x 1500mm (H), though this varies by model and ancillary equipment.

Suitable feed material

Designed for processing minced meat, fish paste, vegetable mixes, and doughs with appropriate viscosity.

• What is a 'triple round drum' on a Formatic 360?

A 'triple round drum' indicates that the forming drum has three distinct round cavities, allowing for the simultaneous production of three items per rotation, increasing output efficiency.

• Can this machine produce different product shapes?

• What kind of maintenance does a used forming machine require?

• Is this machine suitable for high-volume production?

• What ancillary equipment might be needed with this forming machine?

Forming machines are regarded as reliable workhorses in food processing facilities. Buyers typically value consistent output quality and durability when selecting used units. Key considerations include checking wear on forming dies, verifying production speed capabilities, and assessing maintenance history. These machines generally perform well with minimal downtime when properly maintained. Common strengths include straightforward operation, compatibility with various food products, and long operational lifespan. Inspecting hydraulic systems and electrical components thoroughly before purchase remains essential.
