Gantry Legs

• Used for supporting overhead lifting equipment such as hoists and trolleys in workshops and production lines.
• Provides a flexible solution for material handling in areas where permanent overhead crane structures are not feasible.
• Commonly employed in maintenance bays for lifting heavy components during repair or assembly.
• Utilised in warehousing and logistics for loading and unloading operations, particularly for irregular or oversized items.

Typical lifting capacity

For this class of equipment, capacities typically range from 500 kg to 5,000 kg, depending on design and material.

Typical span

Commonly found spans for gantry legs range from 2 metres to 6 metres, allowing for versatile workspace coverage.

Typical height under beam

Units of this type typically offer heights under the beam from 2.5 metres to 5 metres, adjustable on some models.

Construction material

Most gantry legs are constructed from heavy-duty steel sections, providing robust support and durability.

Mobility

Many units are fitted with swivel castor wheels, often with brakes, for easy repositioning within a facility.

Assembly

Typically designed for straightforward assembly and disassembly, often using bolted connections.

• What is the primary function of gantry legs?

Gantry legs provide the structural support for a horizontal beam, creating a mobile or static gantry system used for lifting and moving heavy loads within a defined area.

• Are these gantry legs suitable for outdoor use?

• Can I adjust the height of the gantry legs?

• What kind of lifting equipment can be used with gantry legs?

• What maintenance is required for gantry legs?

Access control and production support systems are valued for their role in maintaining facility security, hygiene compliance, and operational efficiency. Buyers typically prioritise units with robust construction, clear audit trails, and compatibility with existing infrastructure. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should verify electronic components function reliably, examine wear on access mechanisms, and confirm software licensing remains valid. Industry sentiment favours systems demonstrating consistent performance records and straightforward maintenance requirements, particularly those serving food safety standards and minimising production downtime.
