General - Rotary Turn Table

• Accumulating products at the end of a processing line before packing.
• Feeding products into a processing machine at a controlled rate.
• Buffering products between different stages of a production process.
• Providing an ergonomic workstation for manual sorting or inspection tasks.

Typical diameter

Rotary turntables in this class commonly range from 800mm to 1500mm.

Construction material

Units for food processing are typically constructed from 304 or 316 grade stainless steel for hygiene and durability.

Power supply

Commonly 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase, 50Hz, with a low power draw motor.

Speed control

While this unit is fixed speed, many rotary turntables offer variable speed control via an inverter.

Height adjustment

Many units feature adjustable leg height to integrate with existing lines; buyers should confirm this unit's adjustability.

Maintenance

Generally low maintenance, primarily requiring regular cleaning and periodic inspection of the drive mechanism and bearings.

• What types of products can a rotary turntable handle?

Rotary turntables are suitable for a wide range of discrete products, including bottles, jars, pouches, small boxes, and various food items, provided they are stable on a flat surface.

• What is the typical footprint of a 1.2-meter turntable?

• Is this unit suitable for washdown environments?

• What should I consider regarding integration with my existing line?

Rotary tables and indexing systems are valued in food processing for their reliability in automating product handling and storage workflows. Buyers typically prioritise stainless steel construction and corrosion resistance given food safety requirements. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should check bearing condition, indexing accuracy, and cleanliness of surfaces. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance and proven track records in high-volume production environments. Durability and precise positioning capabilities remain key strengths attracting continued buyer interest.
