Grassair, France - GRASSAIR AIR COMPRESSOR

• Supplying compressed air for pneumatic tools and machinery in workshops.
• Powering industrial processes requiring consistent air pressure.
• Use in manufacturing facilities for assembly lines and automation.
• General utility air for cleaning, drying, and other industrial tasks.

Compressor Type

Rotary screw compressor, commonly found in industrial settings for continuous operation.

Typical Working Pressure

Units of this class typically operate around 7-10 bar, suitable for most industrial applications.

Motor Power

For this model series, motor power commonly ranges from 11kW to 22kW, indicating a mid-range industrial compressor.

Air Delivery (FAD)

Typically, a compressor with a 15kW motor would deliver Free Air Delivery (FAD) in the range of 1.5 to 2.5 m³/min, depending on pressure.

Cooling Method

Industrial rotary screw compressors commonly use air cooling, with some larger units featuring water cooling.

Power Supply

Typically requires a 400V, 3-phase, 50Hz electrical supply, standard for industrial equipment in the UK.

Footprint

Units of this capacity are generally compact, designed for integration into existing plant layouts, but buyers should check exact dimensions.

• What maintenance is typically required for a rotary screw compressor?

Regular maintenance includes oil changes, filter replacements (air, oil, separator), and checking drive belts. Service intervals are usually specified by the manufacturer.

• Does this type of compressor require a separate air receiver?

• What are the common considerations for installation?

• Is an air dryer necessary with this compressor?

• What is the expected noise level for a compressor of this size?

Used air compressors for lab and pharma applications are generally valued for reliability and cost savings. Buyers typically prioritize checking maintenance history, confirming pressure ratings meet specific requirements, and verifying oil-free operation where contamination control matters. Key strengths include durability when properly serviced, consistent performance across extended operational hours, and significant capital cost reduction compared to new units. Inspecting seals, checking for corrosion, and confirming recent servicing records are standard considerations when purchasing secondhand.
