Herbert Rotary Table

• Used for precise angular positioning and indexing of workpieces in machining operations such as milling, drilling, and grinding.
• Commonly integrated into automated production lines for repetitive tasks requiring rotational accuracy.
• Applicable in inspection processes where components need to be presented at specific angles for measurement.
• Utilised in assembly operations for positioning parts accurately for joining or fastening.
• Found in tool rooms and workshops for general fabrication and repair tasks requiring rotational manipulation.

Typical table diameter

For this model class (ROTT1500), a table diameter of around 1500mm is commonly indicated, though buyers should verify with the seller.

Indexing accuracy

Typically ranges from ±10 to ±60 arc-seconds for this class of used rotary table, depending on original specification and wear.

Load capacity

Units of this size commonly handle vertical loads from 500 kg to 2000 kg, with horizontal loads typically lower.

Drive mechanism

Often features a worm gear drive for precision, or a direct drive system for higher speed and accuracy on more modern units.

Control interface

May be manual, semi-automatic with digital readout, or fully CNC-controlled, depending on the unit's original configuration.

Footprint

A unit with a 1500mm table typically requires a base footprint of approximately 1800mm x 1800mm, plus space for controls and operation.

• What is the significance of 'Sold as Seen' for a used Herbert Rotary Table?

'Sold as Seen' indicates that the buyer accepts the equipment in its current condition at the time of purchase. It implies no warranty or guarantee from the seller regarding its functionality or fitness for purpose.

• Can this rotary table be integrated with a CNC machine?

• What type of maintenance is typically required for a used rotary table?

• Are spare parts readily available for Herbert Rotary Tables?

• What power supply is typically needed for a rotary table of this size?

Rotary tables and indexing systems are valued in food processing for their reliability in automating product handling and storage workflows. Buyers typically prioritise stainless steel construction and corrosion resistance given food safety requirements. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should check bearing condition, indexing accuracy, and cleanliness of surfaces. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance and proven track records in high-volume production environments. Durability and precise positioning capabilities remain key strengths attracting continued buyer interest.
