Fomaco - Hydraulic Bin Tipper

• Transferring bulk ingredients from large bins into processing machinery.
• Loading mixers, grinders, or conveyors with raw materials.
• Emptying waste bins or by-product containers in a controlled manner.
• Feeding packaging lines with pre-weighed or pre-portioned product from bins.

Typical capacity

Designed for standard Dolav bins or similar industrial containers, typically handling loads up to 1000-1500 kg.

Power supply

Commonly requires a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, for the hydraulic power pack.

Construction material

Units for food processing are typically constructed from stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316 grade) for hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Tipping height

Variable, but typically designed to discharge into standard processing equipment, often ranging from 1.5m to 3m.

Footprint

For this class of equipment, the footprint can vary but often requires a floor area of approximately 2m x 2m, plus operational space.

Hydraulic system

Includes an integrated hydraulic power pack and control system for safe and controlled tipping.

• What type of bins can this tipper accommodate?

This unit is described as a 'Dolav/Bin Tipper', indicating it is designed for standard Dolav-style plastic or stainless steel bins. Buyers should confirm exact bin compatibility with the seller.

• Is the hydraulic power pack included?

• What condition is the unit in?

• What are the typical safety features on a hydraulic bin tipper?

• What maintenance is typically required for a used hydraulic bin tipper?

Lifting and tipping equipment for food handling is valued for durability and reliability in demanding environments. Buyers typically prioritize robust construction, stainless steel components where applicable, and compliance with food safety standards. When purchasing used models, inspectors should assess mechanical wear, hydraulic system condition, and operational smoothness. Common strengths include longevity when properly maintained, efficient load handling, and adaptability to various food processing workflows. Equipment reputation generally remains strong provided previous maintenance records are documented and critical seals show minimal degradation.
