ISCA - Stainless Steel Separation Screen

• Separating solids from liquids in food processing.
• Grading and sizing dry bulk materials such as grains or aggregates.
• Removing impurities from waste streams in industrial settings.
• Dewatering various products in chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
• Classifying raw materials based on particle size for further processing.

Typical screen mesh size

Varies significantly, commonly from 0.5mm to 10mm, depending on application.

Construction material

Typically 304 or 316 grade stainless steel for hygienic and corrosion-resistant applications.

Screen type

Commonly wedge wire, perforated plate, or woven mesh, selected based on separation efficiency and material properties.

Throughput capacity

Highly variable, typically ranging from a few hundred kg/hr to several tonnes/hr for this class of equipment, influenced by material characteristics and screen size.

Footprint

For standalone units, typically compact, with dimensions commonly ranging from 0.5m x 0.5m to 2m x 2m.

Maintenance requirements

Generally low, primarily involving periodic cleaning of the screen surface and inspection for wear.

• What types of materials can this screen separate?

Stainless steel separation screens are versatile and can separate a wide range of wet or dry bulk materials, including food products, chemicals, minerals, and waste streams, based on particle size.

• How do I choose the correct mesh size?

• Are these screens suitable for continuous operation?

• What are the advantages of a stainless steel screen?

• Can these screens be integrated into existing production lines?

Sorting and grading equipment is valued for improving product consistency and processing efficiency. Buyers typically seek machines in good mechanical condition with minimal wear on critical components like belts, motors and calibration systems. Common strengths include reliable performance when properly maintained, cost savings versus new equipment, and compatibility with existing production lines. Industry sentiment favours models from established manufacturers known for durability. Buyers should inspect electrical systems thoroughly and verify spare parts availability before purchasing used units.
