• Rapid freezing of bakery products such as dough pieces, cakes, and pastries.
• Preservation of texture, flavour, and moisture in delicate food items.
• Batch freezing operations in industrial bakeries and patisseries.
• Preparation of products for extended shelf life or subsequent processing.

Typical operating temperature range

Commonly between -38°C and -18°C for fast freezing.

Construction material

Typically stainless steel throughout for hygiene and durability, HACCP compliant.

Footprint

Available in configurations such as single row (e.g., 1740mm width) or double row (e.g., 3240mm width), with custom dimensions possible.

Evaporator design

Often ceiling-mounted to maximise usable floor space within the freezing chamber.

Power supply

Typically requires a three-phase industrial electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz for this class of equipment.

Designed for high-volume, continuous or batch freezing of unpacked products.

• What are the primary benefits of using a blast freezer?

Blast freezers rapidly lower product temperature, which minimises ice crystal formation, thereby preserving product quality, texture, and nutritional value more effectively than conventional freezing methods.

• Is this unit suitable for products other than bakery items?

• What maintenance is typically required for an industrial blast freezer?

• Can this blast freezer be integrated into an existing production line?

• What are the space requirements for a unit of this type?

Blast freezers hold strong reputations for reliable performance in food processing operations. Buyers typically prioritise units with sturdy construction and consistent temperature control, as these directly affect product quality and shelf life. When purchasing used equipment, inspecting refrigeration systems, door seals and internal surfaces for wear is essential. Industry sentiment favours models from established manufacturers known for durability. Key strengths include rapid freezing capability, energy efficiency compared to older freezing methods, and adaptability to various food types. Proper maintenance history significantly influences buyer confidence in used units.
