Koppens UM900 Ball Roller

• Forming spherical products such as meatballs, fish balls, and potato croquettes.
• Processing various protein types including red meat, poultry, and plant-based alternatives.
• Integrating into automated production lines for high-volume food manufacturing.
• Producing uniform portion sizes for consistent cooking and packaging.

Typical throughput

Throughput for this class of equipment typically ranges from several hundred kilograms to over a tonne per hour, depending on product size and feed rate.

Belt width

This unit features a 900mm wide belt, which is common for medium to high-capacity forming operations.

Construction material

Units of this type are almost exclusively constructed from food-grade stainless steel to meet hygiene standards and ensure durability.

Power supply

Commonly, these machines operate on a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with varying power consumption based on motor size.

Product size range

Ball rollers are typically adjustable to produce spherical products ranging from approximately 10mm to 60mm in diameter.

Integration

These units are designed for seamless integration with upstream mixers, grinders, and downstream frying or cooking lines.

• What kind of product consistency is required for a ball roller?

For optimal performance, the feed material should have a consistent texture and viscosity, typically a pre-mixed and minced product, to ensure uniform ball formation.

• Is this machine suitable for products other than meat?

• What maintenance is typically involved with a Koppens UM900?

• Can the ball size be adjusted on this machine?

• What safety features are typically found on a machine like this?

Forming machines are regarded as reliable workhorses in food processing facilities. Buyers typically value consistent output quality and durability when selecting used units. Key considerations include checking wear on forming dies, verifying production speed capabilities, and assessing maintenance history. These machines generally perform well with minimal downtime when properly maintained. Common strengths include straightforward operation, compatibility with various food products, and long operational lifespan. Inspecting hydraulic systems and electrical components thoroughly before purchase remains essential.
