Krones Canmatic

• Applying wrap-around labels to beverage cans and bottles in high-speed production lines.
• Labelling food containers, including glass jars and plastic tubs, for consumer packaging.
• Used in the pharmaceutical industry for precise labelling of various container types.
• Suitable for personal care product manufacturing, applying labels to bottles and tubes.
• Integrated into chemical and household product lines for efficient container identification.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, capacities commonly range from 15,000 to 60,000 containers per hour, depending on the model and container size.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, with varying power consumption based on configuration.

Label type

Designed for wrap-around labels, typically from a reel, applied with hot-melt glue or pressure-sensitive adhesive.

Container materials

This equipment is commonly used for labelling glass, plastic, and metal containers.

Container shapes

While often used for cylindrical containers, some models, like this Krones Canmatic, can be configured for square or other non-round containers.

Footprint

A Krones Canmatic typically requires a significant floor space, often several metres in length, depending on the number of labelling stations and infeed/outfeed conveyors.

Maintenance requirements

Regular maintenance involves checking and replacing wear parts, lubricating moving components, and cleaning glue systems.

• What types of labels can a Krones Canmatic apply?

Krones Canmatic machines are primarily designed for applying wrap-around labels from a reel, typically using hot-melt glue for adhesion.

• Can this machine handle different container sizes?

• What is the typical lifespan of a used Krones Canmatic?

• Are spare parts readily available for Krones Canmatic models?

• What kind of technical support is typically needed for installation?

Used labeling machines remain reliable workhorses in food processing operations. Buyers typically prioritise machines with proven track records from established manufacturers and those requiring minimal tooling changeover. Key considerations include label application accuracy, speed capabilities, and spare parts availability. Industry sentiment favours machines in good mechanical condition with clear maintenance histories. Common strengths noted include straightforward operation, robust construction, and adaptability to various label formats and container types. Purchasing decisions often centre on total cost of ownership and compatibility with existing production lines.
