lazy susan / rotary table

• Used for accumulating products at the end of a processing line, allowing operators time for packing or further handling.
• Facilitates the transfer of products between conveyors running at different speeds or angles.
• Enables manual inspection or sorting of products by providing a rotating surface for easy access.
• Often integrated into filling, capping, or labelling lines to manage product flow and presentation.

Typical table diameter

Commonly ranges from 600mm to 1500mm, depending on the required accumulation area and product size.

Power supply

Typically requires a single-phase (230V) or three-phase (400V) electrical supply, often with variable speed control.

Construction material

For food processing, units are typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and durability.

Operating height

Often adjustable to align with existing conveyor systems, typically between 700mm and 1000mm.

Throughput capacity

Varies significantly with table diameter and product size; designed to match the output of upstream equipment.

Motor power

Generally low power, typically 0.18kW to 0.75kW, sufficient for rotating the table and product load.

• What types of products can a rotary table handle?

Rotary tables are versatile and can handle a wide range of products, including bottles, jars, pouches, small boxes, and individual food items, provided they are stable on a flat surface.

• Is variable speed control important for a rotary table?

• What maintenance is typically required for a used rotary table?

• Can this unit be integrated into an existing production line?

• What should I look for when inspecting a used rotary table?

Rotary tables and indexing systems are valued in food processing for their reliability in automating product handling and storage workflows. Buyers typically prioritise stainless steel construction and corrosion resistance given food safety requirements. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should check bearing condition, indexing accuracy, and cleanliness of surfaces. Industry sentiment favours models with straightforward maintenance and proven track records in high-volume production environments. Durability and precise positioning capabilities remain key strengths attracting continued buyer interest.
