Lock Met30+ Metal Detector

• Detecting ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants in packaged food products.
• Ensuring product safety and compliance with food industry standards prior to dispatch.
• Used post-packaging to verify product integrity before case packing or palletisation.
• Integration into existing production lines for automated quality control.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput can vary significantly based on product size and line speed, commonly handling hundreds of items per minute.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz.

Construction material

Metal detectors for food processing are invariably constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and durability.

Detection sensitivity

Modern metal detectors typically offer high sensitivity across various metal types, adjustable based on product characteristics.

Operating environment

Designed for industrial food processing environments, often with an IP rating suitable for washdown.

Control interface

Commonly features a user-friendly HMI for setting parameters, logging data, and diagnostics.

• What types of metal can this detector find?

Lock Met30+ units are designed to detect ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants, crucial for comprehensive product safety.

• Is this unit suitable for wet or dry products?

• What maintenance is typically required for a metal detector?

• Can this metal detector be integrated into an existing production line?

• What is the typical lifespan of a used metal detector?

Metal detectors for food processing remain reliable workhorses in quality control operations. Buyers typically value their durability and consistent contamination detection capability. When purchasing used units, inspecting calibration history and sensitivity settings proves essential. Industry sentiment favours machines with straightforward maintenance records and minimal downtime. Common strengths include robust construction, straightforward operation, and cost-effectiveness compared to new equipment. Prospective buyers should verify functional testing documentation and assess integration compatibility with existing production lines.
