Edwards - Marden Edwards B100FF

• Overwrapping individual or collated cartons in the tea and coffee industry.
• Packaging confectionery boxes, biscuits, and other baked goods.
• Wrapping cosmetic and pharmaceutical products for tamper evidence and presentation.
• Bundling small retail items or promotional packs.
• Securing multimedia products like DVDs or software boxes.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from 30 to 60 packs per minute, depending on product size and film type.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly operate on a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with an associated compressed air requirement.

Film material compatibility

Marden Edwards overwrappers are typically designed to work with heat-sealable films such as polypropylene (OPP), cellophane, and PVC.

Product size range

Overwrappers like the B100FF are generally adaptable to a range of carton sizes; however, specific change parts may be required for optimal performance across different dimensions.

Footprint

The footprint for a B100FF is typically compact for an industrial overwrapper, making it suitable for integration into existing production lines.

Control system

Units commonly feature PLC control with a user-friendly HMI for setting parameters and diagnostics.

• What is overwrapping?

Overwrapping involves wrapping a product or collation of products tightly in a film, often for protection, tamper evidence, or enhanced presentation. It typically uses a single piece of film sealed around the item.

• Can this machine handle different product sizes?

• What maintenance is typically required for an overwrapper?

• Is this machine suitable for food products?

• What is the typical lead time for a used machine like this?

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
