Markem Cimjet

• Applying barcode labels to products or packaging on a production line.
• Labelling individual items, cartons, or pallets in manufacturing and logistics.
• Integrating into existing conveyor systems for automated product identification.
• Use in food processing for date coding and traceability labels.
• Pharmaceutical packaging for regulatory compliance and batch tracking.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from 20 to 60 labels per minute, depending on label size and application complexity.

Label dimensions

Units of this type commonly handle label widths from 25mm to 110mm and lengths up to 150mm.

Power supply

Most Markem Cimjet units typically require a single-phase 230V AC power supply.

Air supply

Pneumatic applicators commonly require a clean, dry air supply, typically 6 bar.

Print technology

Markem Cimjet systems typically utilise thermal transfer print technology for durable barcode and text printing.

Integration

Units are commonly designed for easy integration with existing production lines and PLC systems.

Footprint

The footprint for a single applicator unit is typically compact, designed to fit within existing line layouts.

• What type of labels can this machine apply?

This type of machine is designed to apply pressure-sensitive adhesive labels, typically pre-printed or printed on-demand with barcodes, text, and graphics.

• Is this unit suitable for high-speed lines?

• What kind of maintenance does a Markem Cimjet typically require?

• Can this applicator be adjusted for different product heights?

• What is meant by 'Single Top label applicator'?

• Are spare parts readily available for Markem Cimjet models?

Used labeling machines remain reliable workhorses in food processing operations. Buyers typically prioritise machines with proven track records from established manufacturers and those requiring minimal tooling changeover. Key considerations include label application accuracy, speed capabilities, and spare parts availability. Industry sentiment favours machines in good mechanical condition with clear maintenance histories. Common strengths noted include straightforward operation, robust construction, and adaptability to various label formats and container types. Purchasing decisions often centre on total cost of ownership and compatibility with existing production lines.
