Unknown - Multihead Weigher

• Accurate portioning of snacks, confectionery, and dry goods into bags or containers.
• Precise weighing of frozen foods, fresh produce, and bakery items.
• High-speed dispensing of granular products such as rice, pasta, and cereals.
• Efficient packaging of non-food items like small hardware components or pet food.

Typical capacity

Throughput for a 14-head multihead weigher typically ranges from 60 to 120 cycles per minute, depending on product characteristics and target weight.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V AC, 50Hz, with a power consumption of 3-5 kW.

Weighing range

For this class of equipment, individual weighments typically range from 10g up to 2000g, with high accuracy.

Accuracy

Multihead weighers are designed for high precision, commonly achieving accuracies of ±0.5g to ±2g, depending on the product and target weight.

Footprint

A 14-head multihead weigher typically occupies a floor space of approximately 1.5m x 1.5m, excluding ancillary equipment.

Construction material

Most multihead weighers are constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and durability, particularly in food processing environments.

• What products are suitable for a multihead weigher?

Multihead weighers are highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of free-flowing products, including granular, fragile, sticky, and mixed items. They excel with products that can be accurately singulated into individual weigh buckets.

• How does a 14-head weigher compare to units with fewer heads?

• What maintenance is typically required for a used multihead weigher?

• Can this weigher handle different product types without extensive changeover?

• What ancillary equipment is commonly used with a multihead weigher?

Precision and portable balances are valued for their accuracy and reliability across laboratory and pharmaceutical settings. Buyers typically seek models with proven calibration stability and minimal drift over time. When purchasing used equipment, industry practice emphasises checking calibration certificates, verifying display functionality, and confirming availability of replacement parts. These instruments are generally regarded as durable workhorses that perform well if properly maintained. Key strengths include repeatability, compact design for space-constrained labs, and compatibility with existing analytical workflows.
