NNP Cheese block cutter

• Portioning large cheese blocks into smaller, manageable sizes for further processing or packaging.
• Preparing cheese for shredding, dicing, or slicing operations in food manufacturing.
• Reducing manual labour and improving consistency in cheese processing lines.
• Use in dairies, cheese factories, and food preparation facilities.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput can vary significantly based on block size and desired cut, but semi-automatic units commonly process several blocks per minute.

Power supply

Pneumatic systems typically require a compressed air supply, commonly 6-8 bar, and may have a small electrical requirement for controls, often single-phase 230V.

Construction material

Units of this type are almost exclusively constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and durability.

Suitable feed sizes

This unit is specified for blocks up to 350mm wide x 200mm high. Other units in this category typically handle standard Euroblock sizes or custom dimensions.

Cutting mechanism

Pneumatic cutters commonly utilise blades or wires driven by air cylinders for precise and repeatable cuts.

Footprint

A compact unit of this type, including the outfeed conveyor, typically requires a footprint of approximately 1.5m to 2.5m in length and 0.8m to 1.2m in width.

Hygiene and cleaning

Designed for easy cleaning, with smooth stainless steel surfaces and often quick-release components for access.

• What types of cheese can this machine cut?

Pneumatic block cutters are generally suitable for a wide range of semi-hard to hard cheeses. The specific cheese type may influence blade choice and cutting parameters.

• Are spare parts readily available for unknown manufacturer equipment?

• What maintenance is typically required for a pneumatic cheese cutter?

• Can the cut dimensions be adjusted?

• What are the safety considerations for operating this type of equipment?

Food processing cutters and dicers are valued for consistent product sizing and improved throughput in commercial kitchens and production facilities. Buyers typically prioritise robust construction, ease of cleaning, and reliable blade systems when purchasing used models. The equipment maintains strong reputation for durability across multiple shift operations. Key considerations include motor condition, blade sharpness, and safety guard integrity. Well-maintained units from established manufacturers generally deliver reliable performance at lower capital cost than new alternatives.
