NNP Rotary dip tank

• Washing and sanitising fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables.
• Pre-treatment of ingredients before further processing.
• Removing soil, debris, and surface contaminants from bulk items.
• Applying protective coatings or dips to food items.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can vary significantly based on product type and desired dwell time, but units commonly handle several hundred kilograms per hour.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, for motor operation.

Construction material

Typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Footprint

A rotary dip tank, particularly a mobile unit, commonly requires a floor area of approximately 1.5m x 1.5m, plus space for access and loading/unloading.

Water usage

Water consumption varies with operation, but units typically feature drainage for efficient water management and potential recirculation systems.

Speed control

Variable speed drives are commonly found on units of this type, allowing adjustment of drum rotation for different products and processing requirements.

• What kind of products can be processed in a rotary dip tank?

Rotary dip tanks are suitable for washing and treating a wide range of robust, free-flowing products such as potatoes, carrots, apples, and other fruits and vegetables. Delicate items may require alternative washing methods.

• Is this unit suitable for organic produce?

• What maintenance is typically required for a rotary dip tank?

• Can this tank be integrated into an existing processing line?

• What are the benefits of a variable speed rotary drum?

For food processing washing and sanitizing equipment, buyers typically value durability, ease of cleaning, and compliance with hygiene standards. Industry sentiment emphasizes the importance of verifying spray patterns, material quality, and maintenance history when purchasing used units. Stainless steel construction and reliable pump performance are considered key strengths. Buyers should check for corrosion, seal condition, and documentation of regular servicing to ensure food safety compliance.
