Norfo Trapezoid Saw

• Portioning frozen meat or fish blocks into specific shapes for further processing.
• Preparing raw materials for ready meal production requiring consistent component sizing.
• Reducing large frozen slabs into manageable, uniform pieces for dicing or mincing lines.
• Specialised cutting tasks in facilities producing convenience foods or catering supplies.

Typical throughput

Varies significantly based on product dimensions and desired cut, but units of this type are designed for continuous operation.

Power supply

Commonly 3-phase industrial power, typically 400V, 50Hz for UK operations.

Construction material

As described, all stainless steel is standard for food processing equipment to meet hygiene standards.

Control system

PLC control is typical for precision and integration into automated lines.

Suitable feed material

Designed for frozen blocks or planks; specific maximum dimensions should be confirmed with the seller.

Maintenance requirements

Regular blade inspection and replacement, routine cleaning, and checking of mechanical and electrical components are typical.

Safety features

• What kind of products can a trapezoid saw process?

These saws are primarily designed for cutting frozen blocks of meat, poultry, fish, or other food products into specific trapezoidal shapes. The 'Norfo' brand is often associated with robust food processing machinery.

• Is this machine suitable for fresh products?

• What are the typical safety considerations for operating a bandsaw of this type?

• How difficult is it to change the cutting dimensions or shapes?

• What is the expected lifespan of a used industrial saw like this?

Meat and poultry processing bandsaws are valued for consistent cutting performance and durability when properly maintained. Buyers typically prioritise models with robust blade tension systems and reliable motor specifications. Key considerations when purchasing used equipment include blade condition, frame alignment, and evidence of regular servicing. Industry sentiment favours machines from established manufacturers known for longevity. Common strengths include efficient throughput, ease of blade replacement, and relatively straightforward maintenance requirements. Buyers should inspect drive mechanisms and verify cutting accuracy before purchase.
