Palmia Frozen Block Mincer

• Reducing frozen meat blocks into a coarse or fine mince for further processing.
• Preparing ingredients for sausage production, ready meals, or pet food.
• Processing other frozen food products such as butter, cheese, or certain vegetables.
• Used in medium to large-scale food processing facilities, butcheries, and catering operations.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from 500 kg/hr to several tonnes/hr, depending on motor power and block size.

Power supply

Commonly found on units of this type is a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz.

Feed block size

Units without a loader are typically designed for standard frozen blocks, often 600x400x200mm or similar, manually loaded into the hopper.

Mincing head diameter

The mincing head diameter for frozen block mincers commonly ranges from 160mm to 280mm, influencing output and final product texture.

Construction material

Typically constructed from stainless steel (e.g., AISI 304) for hygiene and durability in food processing environments.

Footprint

A unit without a loader typically requires a floor space of approximately 1.5m x 1m, plus operational clearance.

• What is a frozen block mincer used for?

A frozen block mincer is specifically designed to process large, solid blocks of frozen meat or other food products, reducing them into smaller, manageable pieces or mince without prior thawing.

Meat grinders are valued for reliable, efficient processing in professional food operations. Buyers typically prioritise robust construction, consistent grinding performance and ease of cleaning when selecting used models. Industry sentiment favours equipment with proven durability records and minimal maintenance requirements. Key considerations include motor power, output capacity and blade condition, as these factors significantly impact operational efficiency. Well-maintained grinders from established manufacturers generally command confidence in the secondhand market, offering good value for facilities seeking cost-effective processing solutions.
