Prewa 20/30

• Packaging of granular products such as coffee beans, rice, pulses, and snacks.
• Suitable for creating various bag styles including pillow, gusseted, and block-bottom bags.
• Often used in food processing, confectionery, and pet food industries for automated bagging.
• Ideal for operations requiring consistent product dosing and high-speed packaging.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, speeds commonly range from 10 to 30 bags per minute, depending on product, bag size, and film material.

Bag size range

Units of this type typically accommodate bag widths from 60mm to 400mm, with lengths varying significantly.

Power supply

Commonly requires a 3-phase electrical supply (e.g., 400V, 50Hz) and a compressed air connection.

Material construction

Equipment for food applications, like this unit, typically features stainless steel frames and contact parts for hygiene and durability.

Dosing system

Often integrated with multi-head weighers or linear weighers for precise product dosing.

Film types

Capable of running various heat-sealable film materials, including laminates, paper-based films, and polyethylene.

• What is a Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) machine?

An FFS machine forms a bag from a roll of film, fills it with product, and then seals it, all in one continuous automated process. Vertical FFS (VFFS) machines are common for granular and free-flowing products.

Form-fill-seal machines hold strong reputations in food packaging for reliability and consistent output. Buyers typically prioritise machines with clear maintenance histories and verified production specifications. Key strengths include versatility across film types and product formats, alongside relatively straightforward operation. When purchasing used units, inspectors should examine seal quality consistency, film tracking accuracy, and the condition of heating elements. Machines from established manufacturers generally command buyer confidence. Downtime for repairs is a common concern, so availability of spare parts and technical support merits careful consideration before acquisition.
