• Forming various meat products such as burgers, nuggets, and schnitzels.
• Processing alternative protein products, including plant-based patties and vegan sausages.
• Forming fish products like fish cakes and fish fingers.
• Producing potato specialities such as croquettes and hash browns.
• Creating pet food products in specific shapes and sizes.

Forming plate width

This unit features a 660mm forming plate width, which is a substantial size for high-volume production.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from 2 to 4 tonnes per hour, depending on product type and plate configuration.

Operating hours

This specific unit has less than 7,000 running hours, indicating relatively low usage for a used industrial machine.

Power supply

Forming machines of this capacity commonly require a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz.

Material compatibility

Units of this type are designed to handle a wide range of pumpable and formable food masses, including ground meat, poultry, fish, and plant-based mixtures.

Typical footprint

For a machine with a 660mm forming plate, a typical footprint could be around 2,500mm to 3,500mm in length and 1,500mm to 2,000mm in width, excluding conveyors.

Construction material

Industrial forming machines are typically constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and durability in food processing environments.

• What kind of products can this machine form?

This machine is suitable for forming a wide variety of products, including meat patties, nuggets, fish cakes, and plant-based alternatives, provided the raw material is pumpable and formable.

• Is this machine suitable for high-volume production?

• What maintenance is typically required for a forming machine?

• Can the forming plates be changed for different product shapes?

• What utilities are needed to operate this machine?

• What is the typical lifespan of a used forming machine like this?

Forming machines are regarded as reliable workhorses in food processing facilities. Buyers typically value consistent output quality and durability when selecting used units. Key considerations include checking wear on forming dies, verifying production speed capabilities, and assessing maintenance history. These machines generally perform well with minimal downtime when properly maintained. Common strengths include straightforward operation, compatibility with various food products, and long operational lifespan. Inspecting hydraulic systems and electrical components thoroughly before purchase remains essential.
