• Securing goods on pallets for transport and storage in warehouses and distribution centres.
• Protecting products from dust, moisture, and damage during transit.
• Stabilising unstable or irregularly shaped pallet loads.
• Reducing product pilferage and tampering.
• Preparing goods for export or long-term storage.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, units commonly handle pallet loads up to 1500-2000 kg.

Power supply

Typically single-phase 230V, 50Hz, requiring a standard industrial plug.

Maximum pallet height

Commonly accommodates pallet heights up to 2200-2500 mm, adjustable via photocell.

Turntable diameter

Units of this type typically feature a turntable diameter of 1500-1650 mm.

Film type

Designed for standard machine stretch film rolls, typically 500 mm wide.

Safety features

Commonly includes emergency stop, safety switches, and sealed components for operator protection.

• What is the benefit of a top pressure plate?

A top pressure plate provides stability for light, unstable, or very tall pallet loads during the wrapping process, preventing them from shifting or toppling. This ensures a secure and consistent wrap.

• Can this machine handle different pallet sizes?

• Is special training required to operate this machine?

• What maintenance does a semi-automatic stretch wrapper require?

• How does the 'rainproof' programme work?

Strapping equipment remains reliable for securing packaged goods across food processing operations. Buyers typically value machines offering consistent tension control, minimal downtime, and straightforward maintenance. When purchasing used units, inspectors should assess wear on strapping heads, motor function, and sensor calibration. Industry sentiment favours equipment with proven track records in high-volume environments. Key strengths include durability, energy efficiency, and compatibility with various film types. Proper mechanical condition and operational history are essential considerations for cost-effective procurement.
