R J Herbert Engineering Incline Conveyor

• Moving bulk materials or packaged goods between different floor levels or processing stages.
• Integrating into automated production lines for continuous material flow.
• Loading hoppers, bins, or other processing machinery from a lower elevation.
• Transporting products in food processing, packaging, and general manufacturing environments.
• Handling waste products or recycling materials within industrial facilities.

Typical incline angle

Commonly ranges from 15 to 45 degrees, depending on the material being conveyed and space constraints.

Belt width

For this class of equipment, belt widths typically vary from 300mm to 900mm, influencing throughput.

Construction material

Often stainless steel for food-grade applications or painted mild steel for general industrial use, offering durability and hygiene.

Power supply

Typically 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, for reliable motor operation.

Throughput capacity

Varies significantly based on belt speed, width, and material density; buyers should consult the seller for specific unit capabilities.

Belt material

Commonly PVC, PU, or rubber, selected based on the product being conveyed and environmental conditions.

• What types of products can this incline conveyor handle?

Incline conveyors are suitable for a wide range of products including loose bulk materials, packaged goods, boxes, and components, provided the incline angle and belt type are appropriate.

• Is this unit suitable for food processing environments?

• What maintenance is typically required for an incline conveyor?

• Can the speed of the conveyor be adjusted?

• What are the typical safety features on an incline conveyor?

Buyers typically value conveyor systems for their reliability and longevity when well-maintained. Key considerations when purchasing used units include belt condition, motor functionality, frame integrity, and available spare parts. Industry sentiment emphasises the importance of verifying operational history and cleanliness standards, particularly for food handling applications. Common strengths include robust construction, relatively straightforward maintenance requirements, and cost savings versus new equipment. Reputable manufacturers' models tend to hold their value well and integrate readily into existing production lines.
