Riggs - Autopack Model 1000 Series 3 Depositor

• Accurate dosing of batters, creams, and sauces in bakeries and patisseries.
• Filling of ready meal components such as mashed potato, gravies, or purees.
• Depositing fruit fillings into pies, tarts, and other confectionery items.
• Portioning viscous liquids or semi-solids into containers or onto production lines.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, depositors commonly handle volumes from a few millilitres up to several litres per deposit, depending on piston size and configuration.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a standard industrial electrical supply, often 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase, with pneumatic air supply also common for operation.

Construction material

Contact parts are commonly manufactured from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) to ensure hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Throughput

Throughput varies significantly with product viscosity and deposit volume, but units can typically achieve dozens to hundreds of deposits per minute.

Footprint

Benchtop or mobile frame designs are common for the Autopack 1000 Series, offering flexibility in production line integration.

Deposit accuracy

Depositors of this series are known for high volumetric accuracy, typically within +/- 0.5% to 1%, crucial for consistent product quality.

• What types of products can this depositor handle?

The Autopack 1000 Series is typically suitable for a wide range of viscous and semi-viscous products, including creams, batters, sauces, jams, and purees. Product consistency is a key factor.

• Is this unit suitable for hot filling applications?

• What maintenance is typically required for a depositor of this type?

• Can the deposit volume be easily adjusted?

• Are change parts available for different nozzle sizes?

Food depositors are valued for their precision, consistency and reliability in portioning applications across bakery, confectionery and prepared foods sectors. Buyers typically prioritise machines with minimal wear, clear maintenance histories and compatible control systems. Key strengths include durability when properly serviced, adaptability to various product viscosities, and straightforward operation. When purchasing used equipment, inspecting nozzles, pumps and pneumatic components is essential, as wear directly affects deposit accuracy. Machines from reputable manufacturers with documented service records generally command buyer confidence and deliver strong long-term value.
