RIGGS DEPOSITOR

• Accurate portioning of batters, creams, and fillings in bakeries.
• Depositing sauces, purees, or viscous liquids in food production.
• Filling containers with confectionery products or jams.
• Precision dispensing of non-food items like cosmetics or pharmaceuticals.

Typical capacity

For a single-head depositor of this class, throughput can vary significantly based on product viscosity and dose size, typically ranging from 20 to 60 deposits per minute.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly operate on a standard single-phase or three-phase electrical supply, often 230V or 400V, with a compressed air requirement.

Footprint

A low-level single-head depositor typically has a compact footprint, suitable for integration into existing lines or standalone operation.

Dosing range

The dosing range is generally adjustable, allowing for various product volumes to be dispensed, commonly from a few millilitres up to several hundred millilitres per shot.

Construction material

Components in contact with product are typically made from food-grade stainless steel for hygiene and durability.

Head type

The rise and fall head feature commonly found on these units allows for clean depositing directly onto products or into containers, minimising stringing.

• What are the benefits of a 'rise and fall head'?

Food depositors are valued for their precision, consistency and reliability in portioning applications across bakery, confectionery and prepared foods sectors. Buyers typically prioritise machines with minimal wear, clear maintenance histories and compatible control systems. Key strengths include durability when properly serviced, adaptability to various product viscosities, and straightforward operation. When purchasing used equipment, inspecting nozzles, pumps and pneumatic components is essential, as wear directly affects deposit accuracy. Machines from reputable manufacturers with documented service records generally command buyer confidence and deliver strong long-term value.
