Tarnos Vibratory Sieve

• Separating fine particles from coarser materials in bulk solids processing.
• Grading and classifying dry powders, granules, and aggregates by size.
• Removing foreign objects or oversized particles from a product stream.
• Dewatering slurries or separating solids from liquids in certain industrial processes.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from a few hundred kilograms to several tonnes per hour, depending on material density and mesh size.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly operate on a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz in the UK.

Screen diameter/area

Vibratory sieves in this category commonly feature screen diameters ranging from 600mm to 1500mm, influencing the effective screening area.

Construction material

Typically constructed from mild steel for general industrial use, with stainless steel options common for food-grade or corrosive applications.

Vibration mechanism

Most units utilise an eccentric weight motor to generate multi-plane vibration, facilitating particle separation.

Suitable feed sizes

Effectively processes materials with particle sizes typically ranging from sub-micron powders up to several millimetres, depending on screen mesh.

• What types of materials can a Tarnos Vibratory Sieve BF-2 typically process?

This type of vibratory sieve is commonly used for dry powders, granules, aggregates, and some slurries. It is suitable for materials such as sand, chemicals, food ingredients, and plastics.

• How is the mesh screen changed on this model?

• What are the typical maintenance requirements for a vibratory sieve?

• Can this unit be integrated into an existing production line?

• What factors influence the screening efficiency?

Sorting and grading equipment is valued for improving product consistency and processing efficiency. Buyers typically seek machines in good mechanical condition with minimal wear on critical components like belts, motors and calibration systems. Common strengths include reliable performance when properly maintained, cost savings versus new equipment, and compatibility with existing production lines. Industry sentiment favours models from established manufacturers known for durability. Buyers should inspect electrical systems thoroughly and verify spare parts availability before purchasing used units.
