    PBC/400 x 300/B/Guarded Butter Block Cutter

This Butter Block Cutter is designed to cut tempered blocks of butter into 75 x 75mm segments. To cut the butter into individual blocks they can be turned through 90 degrees and placed back onto the cutting frame for a second cut. The Butter Block Cutter is manufactured from Grade 304 Stainless Steel throughout and the cutting operation is via a guided pneumatic cylinder and pusher plate. When the cylinder extends it presses the butter through the cutting blades and into a mixing bowl placed underneath.

The Butter Block Cutter is enclosed in a stainless sheet metal design on both sides and the back. The front of the Butter Block Cutter was fitted with a hinged gate with stainless steel weld mesh to allow the butter blocks to be loaded and unloaded. Control of the cutting operation is via dual pneumatic push button control mounted either side of the opening at the front. The cut and retract operations are selected via a selector switch and then both push buttons must be held to operate the Butter Block Cutter on a hold to run principle.

All parts of the Butter Block Cutter and components such as the pushing plate and the cutting frame are easily removable for cleaning purposes. The Butter Block Cutter is mounted on stainless steel rubber based adjustable feet which can be used to level the Butter Block Cutter once in position.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the range of temperatures that the cutter will accept?

Basically the colder the block of butter, the longer it will take to cut and if it is still frozen, it will not cut until it has thawed. We cannot be specific about how long this might take because there are too many variables involved, such as the starting temperature of the block, the block size, the ambient temperature etc. When a 400 x 300 x 300mm Butter Block has reached a temperature of over 5° Celsius, at its core, the block takes approximately 15 seconds to cut. It should be noted that if a frozen block is loaded to the machine, damage to the machine is possible.

How many blocks per hour will the Butter Block Cutter handle?

If it is assumed that we are using a similar block size at a similar temperature and estimate an unwrapping and loading time of 45 seconds, then the throughput would be around 60 blocks per hour.

What are the cut sizes achieved by the Butter Block Cutter?

The normal cutting frame aperture size is 75 x 75mm although this can be adjusted, at the time of manufacturer to suit specific requirements. The 75 x 75mm cut increases the surface area of the Butter Block by almost 3 times once cut.

What is the air consumption per cut?

    Approximately 80 Litres/Minute.

Informazioni tipiche per questa categoria di macchinari. Verifichi sempre i dettagli con il venditore.

    • Reducing large butter blocks into smaller, manageable portions for further processing.
    • Preparing butter for creaming, mixing, or emulsifying in confectionery and bakery production.
    • Portioning butter for use in sauces, ready meals, and other food manufacturing processes.
    • Facilitating the integration of butter into recipes requiring precise ingredient measurement.

    Typical feed block size
Designed for standard industrial butter blocks, commonly 25kg, with dimensions such as 400 x 300mm.
    Output segment size
This unit is specified to produce 75 x 75mm segments; other models in this class offer various segment dimensions.
    Construction material
Typically Grade 304 Stainless Steel for all food contact and structural components, ensuring hygiene and durability.
    Operation method
Commonly pneumatic, utilising compressed air for the cutting action, as seen in this unit.
    Safety features
Units of this type commonly incorporate guarded cutting areas and dual push-button controls for operator safety.
    Cleaning and maintenance
Designed for easy disassembly of cutting frames and pusher plates to facilitate thorough cleaning.
    Power supply
Pneumatic systems typically require a compressed air supply; electrical power is usually minimal, for controls only, commonly single-phase 230V.

    • Throughput varies depending on the operator's speed and the butter's consistency. Pneumatic units are generally efficient for batch processing, handling several blocks per minute.

Food processing cutters and dicers are valued for consistent product sizing and improved throughput in commercial kitchens and production facilities. Buyers typically prioritise robust construction, ease of cleaning, and reliable blade systems when purchasing used models. The equipment maintains strong reputation for durability across multiple shift operations. Key considerations include motor condition, blade sharpness, and safety guard integrity. Well-maintained units from established manufacturers generally deliver reliable performance at lower capital cost than new alternatives.
