Cedrex Fluid X-xtl-CMTL-96 Mark 111 Automated Tube Labeler

• Automated labelling of sample tubes in high-throughput laboratory environments.
• Identification and tracking of biological samples in research and diagnostic labs.
• Streamlining sample preparation workflows in pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
• Ensuring accurate sample identification in clinical trials and biobanking operations.

Typical throughput

Units in this class commonly process hundreds to thousands of tubes per hour, depending on label size and tube handling.

Tube compatibility

Typically designed for standard laboratory tubes, such as 0.5ml to 2.0ml microtubes or cryovials. Buyers should confirm specific tube diameters and lengths with the seller.

Label type

Generally uses roll-fed adhesive labels, often thermal transfer for durability and chemical resistance.

Power supply

Commonly operates on a standard single-phase industrial supply, typically 230V, 50Hz for the UK market.

Connectivity

Often features USB or Ethernet ports for integration with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).

Footprint

For this class of equipment, units typically have a compact benchtop design, though exact dimensions vary.

• What kind of labels does this machine use?

Automated tube labelers like the Cedrex Fluid X typically utilise thermal transfer labels on a roll, designed for durability and resistance to common laboratory chemicals and temperatures.

• Is this unit compatible with my existing LIMS?

• What maintenance is typically required for this type of labeler?

• Can this machine handle different tube sizes?

• What is the typical lifespan of an automated tube labeler?

Laboratory labelling and printing systems are valued for precision, consistency and compliance support in regulated environments. Buyers typically prioritise reliability, print quality and compatibility with existing laboratory workflows. When purchasing used equipment, condition of print heads, calibration history and maintenance records warrant careful inspection. Industry sentiment favours systems offering flexibility across label sizes and formats. Common strengths include durability, straightforward operation and good availability of replacement consumables. Integration capability with laboratory information management systems is increasingly important to buyers.
