Constanta Format 5

• Producing individual tea bags for retail packaging.
• Packaging granular or powdered food products in small sachets.
• Creating sample packets for pharmaceuticals or cosmetics.
• Forming and filling small pouches for various dry goods.

Typical throughput

For this class of machine, throughput commonly ranges from 120 to 200 bags per minute, depending on product and bag size.

Bag format

Laboratory form-fill-seal machines are typically configured for specific bag dimensions, often for double-chamber bags with thread and label.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz.

Footprint

The footprint for a laboratory-scale form-fill-seal machine is generally compact, suitable for smaller production areas or R&D labs.

Materials handled

These machines are designed to process filter paper or similar heat-sealable materials for bag formation.

Product type

Typically suited for free-flowing granular products such as tea, herbs, or fine powders.

• What is a 'double chamber bag'?

A double chamber bag features two compartments, allowing for better infusion and often associated with premium tea products. This design typically requires specific sealing mechanisms.

• Can this machine be reconfigured for different bag sizes?

• What kind of maintenance is typically required for such a machine?

• Is specialist training needed to operate this equipment?

• What are the typical space requirements for a machine of this type?

Laboratory form-fill-seal machines are valued for their precision in packaging powders, liquids and granules into sachets and pouches. Buyers typically appreciate their compact footprint and reliability when maintained properly. When purchasing used equipment, inspectors should verify seal integrity, check for wear on forming dies, and confirm maintenance records are available. Common strengths include versatility across multiple product types, straightforward operation, and reasonable spare parts availability. Condition of the heating elements and film feed mechanisms warrant particular attention during assessment.
