Unknown - Conveyor

• Moving ingredients or finished products between processing stages in bakeries and confectioneries.
• Transporting raw materials such as grains, fruits, or vegetables for washing, sorting, or packaging.
• Facilitating the transfer of packaged goods from production lines to palletising or dispatch areas.
• Integrating into automated systems for precise product positioning in filling or sealing operations.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, capacity typically ranges from a few hundred kilograms to several tonnes per hour, depending on belt width and speed.

Power supply

Conveyors commonly operate on standard industrial electrical supplies, typically 400V, 3-phase, 50Hz, with smaller units potentially using 230V, single-phase.

Belt material

Common belt materials include food-grade PVC, polyurethane, or modular plastic, selected based on product contact and hygiene requirements.

Frame material

Frames are typically constructed from stainless steel for food processing environments, ensuring durability and ease of cleaning.

Operating speed

Operating speeds are commonly variable, allowing for adjustment to suit different product types and throughput requirements.

Footprint

The footprint of a conveyor is highly variable, depending on its length, width, and configuration (e.g., straight, curved, inclined).

Hygiene standards

Units designed for food processing typically meet or exceed relevant hygiene standards such as HACCP, with features for easy cleaning and sanitation.

• What types of products can this conveyor handle?

Food processing conveyors are designed to handle a wide range of products, from raw ingredients like vegetables and meat to packaged goods, depending on the belt type and configuration.

• Is this conveyor suitable for washdown environments?

• Can the speed of the conveyor be adjusted?

• What maintenance is typically required for a used conveyor?

• How difficult is it to integrate a used conveyor into an existing line?

Buyers typically value conveyor systems for their reliability and longevity when well-maintained. Key considerations when purchasing used units include belt condition, motor functionality, frame integrity, and available spare parts. Industry sentiment emphasises the importance of verifying operational history and cleanliness standards, particularly for food handling applications. Common strengths include robust construction, relatively straightforward maintenance requirements, and cost savings versus new equipment. Reputable manufacturers' models tend to hold their value well and integrate readily into existing production lines.
