Fortress Phantom - Fortress Combination Checkweigher and Metal Detector

• Ensuring product weight accuracy and detecting metallic contaminants in packaged food products.
• Verifying fill levels and identifying foreign objects in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical packaging.
• Maintaining quality control and compliance in cosmetics and personal care product manufacturing.
• Protecting brand reputation and consumer safety in various non-food packaged goods industries.

Typical throughput

Units of this type commonly handle up to 200 packs per minute, depending on product size and weight.

Power supply

Typically requires a single-phase 230V AC supply, with a frequency of 50Hz.

Weighing accuracy

For this class of equipment, accuracy is commonly in the range of +/- 0.5g to +/- 2g, depending on product weight.

Metal detection sensitivity

Commonly detects ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants, with sensitivity varying based on aperture size and product effect.

Conveyor belt width

Typically features a belt width suitable for common retail package sizes, often between 150mm and 300mm.

Construction material

Units are commonly constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and durability in industrial environments.

• What products are suitable for a combination checkweigher and metal detector?

These units are suitable for a wide range of packaged products, including food, pharmaceuticals, and other consumer goods, particularly those requiring both weight verification and metal contaminant detection.

• Can this unit handle different product sizes?

• What kind of reject mechanisms are typically included?

• Is calibration required for these machines?

• What maintenance is typically involved?

Checkweighers are valued in food processing for reliable weight verification and compliance support. Buyers typically prioritise accuracy, speed, and ease of integration with existing production lines. When purchasing used units, inspecting calibration history, mechanical condition, and software functionality proves important. Industry sentiment favours models offering consistent performance, straightforward maintenance, and robust build quality. Durable construction and proven track records across multiple production environments remain key considerations for buyers assessing secondhand equipment.
